Our Mission: Training Rooted in Reality
At the Center for Elder Care Training & Education (CECTE), we believe that effective leadership in senior living requires more than just memorizing regulations—it demands real-world, operational know-how. Our programs aren’t built by theorists; they are developed by an active Executive Director and Nursing Home Administrator (NHA) who intimately understands the daily realities, risks, and compliance expectations of running a community. We bridge the gap between regulatory framework and practical application, ensuring that our students aren’t just checking a box, but are genuinely prepared to lead their residences with confidence, safety, and accountability.
State-Aligned Courses You Can Trust
Professional consulting services are also available. Organizations may reach out to CECTE directly to inquire about consulting support based on their specific operational, regulatory, training, or leadership needs.
Current and developing CECTE training areas include:
- Assisted Living administrator and manager training and certification programs
- State-tailored training pathways based on the state selected by the user
- Colorado 40-hour Assisted Living Administrator training
- Dementia and memory care training
- Dementia refresher training designed to support recurring refresher expectations, such as two-year refresher cycles where applicable
- Future state-specific programs as CECTE expands
CECTE programs are designed to align with applicable state regulatory expectations and survey focus areas. However, state agencies generally do not formally approve, endorse, or certify private training providers. Licensees remain responsible for confirming that the training they select meets current requirements for their license type, state, services provided, and resident population.
