Texas — ALF manager and dementia training

Assisted living training built for Texas

CECTE’s Texas programs are written to Texas’s own assisted living facility standards, not a national course with a state name added. Both are self-paced and online.

Which course do you need?

  • Assisted living facility managers: 24-Hour Assisted Living Facility Manager Training Course. Twelve modules on running a Texas assisted living facility under the state’s licensing standards.
  • Direct care staff: 4-Hour Texas Dementia Training. Seven modules of practical dementia care for caregivers and other direct care staff, built around two easy-to-use frameworks: Four Guiding Questions and Observe → Protect → Report.

How the courses work

  • Self-paced and online. Learners can stop and pick up where they left off.
  • Assessments built in. Each course checks understanding as learners go.
  • Certificate on completion. Learners who pass receive a certificate of completion for your facility’s training file.

Training a team?

Administrators enrolling several staff members can email info@cecte.org, and we’ll set up group enrollment for your team.

These courses are designed around Texas assisted living facility licensing standards (26 TAC Chapter 553), administered by Texas Health and Human Services. Each facility remains responsible for determining and documenting its own regulatory compliance.
