CO-DEM-100-CE: Colorado Dementia CE Refresher (2 Hours)
CO-DEM-100-CE is a 2-hour continuing education refresher for Colorado direct-care staff who have already completed CO-DEM-100 (or an equivalent initial dementia training). It meets the 6 CCR 1011-1, Part 7.9(B)(5) requirement for 2 hours of dementia continuing education every 2 years.
This refresher does not repeat the initial training. It builds on it with current best practices and situations that come up on real shifts: recognizing dementia look-alikes, trauma-informed communication, mealtime and swallowing safety, and advanced behavior support.
- Four 30-minute modules, each ending with a 6-question interactive Knowledge Check (24 questions total).
- Terminology follows CO-DEM-100: “Med Tech/QMAP” is used to reflect Colorado’s defined Qualified Medication Administration Person role alongside the common industry term.
- Self-paced, online, and accessible on any device.
